There are facts that are true, ones that are only true sometimes, and ones that are downright false. When you are well informed, you can choose a quick weight loss diet that not only works well for you, but that actually enhances your health. Here are some quick weight loss diet statements and the real truth about them:
- Any quick weight loss diet is okay if you're only on it for a short time - That's only true if you're talking about four or five days at the most. The problem is that going on a diet that drastically cuts foods that your body needs for even a week or more can cause damage. If you keep gaining the weight back and then going on a drastic diet again you can cause cumulative damage that will take longer and longer to repair.
- A diet that makes you lose weight quickly will deplete your muscle - This can be true, but it isn't a hard and fast rule. Yes, a drastic, lopsided diet for losing weight quickly can cause your body to deplete muscle for energy, which is very unhealthy. However, a quick weight loss diet that incorporates nutritious foods that give your body what it needs for maximum health will not deplete muscle.
- Any diet without exercise will ultimately lead to fitness failure - This is true, no matter what claims you hear otherwise. The good news is, though, that the right nutritious quick weight loss diet will inspire you to exercise, including doing muscle building exercise that will ensure continued fitness success.
It is possible to go on a quick weight loss diet and be fit and healthy and much happier with yourself. The key is to stay smart about it.
