There are a number of different Medifast dieting programs that you can sign up for. The difference in each program is in the amount of type of food that you can eat and Medifast has even created different programs for men and women. Each program has been designed with the same goal in mind- weight loss so there is no fear that one program is any better than the next.

There are programs and packages at Medifast that allow people to order food for up to a four week period. This means that when you sign up for this plan you are getting enough food for the entire month. The month long programs are the most expensive and cost dieters about three hundred dollars per month for the food. The next program is a two week program that allows people to order food for a two week period; this is about half the price of the monthly program. However, if you add up the cost of groceries for a month for one person, it won't be a whole lot cheaper.

When you sign up for a four week plan you are getting approximately one hundred and forty three meals. This should be enough food for the entire month. You should not have any leftover and you should not run out. This is the same for both men and women, and although the food selection might be different the amount of food that each gets is the same. If you sign up for the two week meal plan you will get seventy meals, once again half of what you would get on the four week plan.

There are specially designed packages for people with diabetes as well. The food selection is slightly different but the price and the amount of food that you get are still the same. If you sign up for the diabetic program you can do either a four week plan or a two week plan. If you are thinking about ordering all two week plans then you might want to consider a monthly package as it is cheaper to order the monthly plan than two, two week plans.
